Restricted and Repetitive Behaviors: Another characteristic of autism is the presence of restricted and repetitive behaviors. These behaviors can manifest in various ways, including:

  • Repetitive movements or motor behaviors: Examples include hand-flapping, rocking, or spinning.
  • Rigidity and resistance to change: Difficulty adapting to new routines or unexpected changes in plans.
  • Highly focused interests: Individuals with autism may have intense interests in specific topics or objects.
